چکیده

Root rot disease caused by the fungus Phytophthora capsici can cause up to 60% yield loss of pepper in West Kalimantan, which is spread across Singkawang, Bengkayang, Pontianak, Sintang, and Sekadau Regencies. Control BPB chemically with fungicide considered be effective enough suppress both vitro field. This study aims examine effectiveness several active ingredients that are widely used control, namely Chlorotalonil, Azoxystrobin, Mankozeb, Phosphoric Acid. Efficacy tests were carried out on sample plant plots consisting 25 trees for each treatment ingredient fungicide. Fungicide application was 3 times (2-week intervals) within months. attack intensity calculated obtain Level (TE) category used. The phosphite acid showed highest efficacy level 30.06%, while Azoxystrobin Mankozeb had TE values 29.01% 28.23%, respectively. lowest result function Chlorotalonil a percentage only 4.13%.

Characteristic of the Pepper CaRGA2 Gene in Defense Responses against Phytophthora capsici Leonian

The most significant threat to pepper production worldwide is the Phytophthora blight, which is caused by the oomycete pathogen, Phytophthora capsici Leonian. In an effort to help control this disease, we isolated and characterized a P. capsici resistance gene, CaRGA2, from a high resistant pepper (C. annuum CM334) and analyzed its function by the method of real-time PCR and virus-induced gene ...

Biocontrol of Phytophthora Blight and Anthracnose in Pepper by Sequentially Selected Antagonistic Rhizobacteria against Phytophthora capsici

We previously developed a sequential screening procedure to select antagonistic bacterial strains against Phytophthora capsici in pepper plants. In this study, we used a modified screening procedure to select effective biocontrol strains against P. capsici; we evaluated the effect of selected strains on Phytophthora blight and anthracnose occurrence and fruit yield in pepper plants under field ...

Antifungal Activity and Biochemical Response of Cuminic Acid against Phytophthora capsici Leonian.

Phytophthora blight of pepper caused by Phytophthora capsici Leonian is a destructive disease throughout the world. Cuminic acid, extracted from the seed of Cuminum cyminum L., belongs to the benzoic acid chemical class. In this study, the sensitivity and biochemical response of P. capsici to cuminic acid was determined. The mean EC50 (50% effective concentration) values for cuminic acid in inh...

Efficacy of Chaetomium Species as Biological Control Agents against Phytophthora nicotianae Root Rot in Citrus

Thailand is one of the largest citrus producers in Southeast Asia. Pathogenic infection by Phytophthora, however, has become one of major impediments to production. This study identified a pathogenic oomycete isolated from rotted roots of pomelo (Citrus maxima) in Thailand as Phytophthora nicotianae by the internal transcribed spacer ribosomal DNA sequence analysis. Then, we examined the in vit...

In vitro antimicrobial and in vivo antioomycete activities of the novel antibiotic thiobutacin.

BACKGROUND A number of synthetic fungicides are not effective when confronted by oomycete pathogens because many fungicide targets are absent from oomycetes. Moreover, resistance to fungicides has already arisen in oomycete species, and thus development of new, effective and safe compounds for use in oomycete disease control is necessary. RESULTS Zoospore lysis began at 10 microg mL(-1) of th...
